About the Webinar

Data analysis – Refers to describing and summarize the collected or obtained data, identifying relationships/ associations between variables, comparing the corresponding variables, forecasting outcomes and more. It begins with data entry, transforming and cleaning data and getting it ready for analysis. Applying relevant tools and drawing conclusions will be the result of data analysis.

EXCEL– Can be used for data analysis as it is user-friendly and easy to learn, in addition to the ease of usage as many statistical techniques can be applied in EXCEL. Most types of data, especially quantitative can be analyzed using EXCEL. It is reliable and affordable and helps to understand data better.

About the Speaker

Dr. Sahana Prasad has around 31 years of teaching experience in various capacities, as lecturer, reader, Assistant and Associate professor. Till Nov 30,2020, she was working as Associate Professor in the Department of Statistics, CHRIST, Deemed to be University, Bangalore. She has also taught various topics in Statistics, Operations Research, Quantitative techniques, and Data science to students of courses like Chartered Accountancy, Company Secretaryship, Commerce, Economics, Management, among others and has also been a resource person in many training programs and given guest lectures/ keynote lectures at many conferences and seminars.

She has conducted workshops in SPSS, R, and EXCEL and has working knowledge of MATLAB, LINGO, TABLEAU and PYTHON. She has been awarded Statistical Capacity building award by World Bank to attend a conference in Paris, France and been featured in Asia Research news for her work in Statistics.

She has authored a book on “Application of Statistical tools in Social Sciences Research”.
She completed PhD in applying Operations and has about 40 presentations at conferences, seminars, and others at various levels, National and International and about 20 paper publications. In addition, around 350 articles/ short stories published in various newspapers and magazines and has won awards for her literary work.
